Why does my horse have diarrhoea?

Ok, so i was about to ride my horse and as i was leading him down to the school he did a green, very sloppy poo, and i didn't know what was wrong, he didn't behave any differently when i rode him or after. Yesterday he was moved into a better field that had lots of new grass and i wondered whether or not that was it? Thank you :)
