How do I make it big on YouTube?

I'm 15 years old and I wanted to start a fashion channel thing like meganheartsmakeup, juicystar, missglamorazzi, etc. I want my channel to be called "KatieMacAttack!" or just "katiemac". I was going to do videos like "My Top 10 Favorites of the week", "Cheap Deals Under $20", "6 Oddities You Should Have", "My Favorite Artists of the Month". Is this a good idea?? How can I ask my parents if I can do this? I think it would be fun but my parents are very strict.
