What's Wrong with America?

With the Yahoo News (AP) mostly featuring the latest bizarre YouTube crazy (wrestling five year old, president locked out of White House, other oddities) there seems to be a strange focus in our society to the irrelevant. In my state, political arguments are made for not accepting government monies for upgrading Amtrak while others say that its basically a Democratic make-work project that will be rife with cost runs and corruption. The President is bashed from A to Z on Libya and prior to it, no one seemed to come up with a solution in the U.S. to quell Qaddafi, while critics seem to slam him on not talking to congress first, which suggests a personal grudge he might have with them? No one seems to focus on the needs of the poor and elderly but there is plenty of money for war (s) and CEO's seem to get bigger pay checks than everyone else? Most everyone has a focus while no one focuses on the whole? We won't mention health care costs. We won't mention the loss of jobs, nor the high cost of college education in terms of what you will get back and the years it will take to repay your loans. Who's really screwing us on the price of gas? Can we blame Libya for that where as we get most of our oil from Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Iran, and Kuwait? You have to be so careful about what you say, otherwise you'll get a nasty letter from a lawyer?
