Do certain people seem like they don't really exist to you?

It's a crazy phenomenon, but in this day and age where we spend so much time talking to people who aren't present, I'm sure it happens all the time. There's a girl I've been talking to on the phone for about 7 years and we've never been in the same room together ever. We literally talk on the phone for hours though, and I think when we were younger and dumber we were in love.
